Make an observation - something true about the person or business that you are reaching out to (personalization for why they should read this email AKA: your research) provides context for everything under the email
Problem/insight based on the observation - tie this into a problem you think they might have about what you observed - Do they have a problem you can solve?
(1+2 = why you reached out to them)
Credibility - who are you to tell me anything? - We saw that same thing with XYZ client - lead into what you do to solve that problem
Call to action - Needs to be easy to answer. Ex. close ended questions yes or no
